生物活性:与标准相比完全具有生物活性。使用人外周血单核细胞的趋化性生物测定法测定的生物活性在50.0-100.0 ng/ml的浓度范围内。SDF-1α和SDF-1β cdna分别编码89和93个氨基酸残基的前体蛋白。SDF-1α和SDF-1β均由单一基因编码,并通过交替剪接产生。这两种蛋白除了SDF-1β羧基端存在四个氨基酸残基而SDF-1α缺失外,其余均相同。SDF-1/PBSF在物种间高度保守,成熟的人和小鼠蛋白之间只有一个氨基酸替换。SDF-1/PBSF通过趋化因子受体CXCR4起作用,已被证明是t淋巴细胞、单核细胞、前B细胞和前B细胞的趋化剂,但不是中性粒细胞。研究发现,缺乏SDF-1或CXCR4的小鼠在中枢神经系统中会受损b淋巴细胞生成、骨髓生成、血管发育、心脏发生以及异常的神经细胞迁移和模式。
