生物活性：人Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin/Kexin Type 9 (PCSK9)是一种分泌性枯草酶，属于蛋白酶K亚家族。PCSK9是作为一种可溶性酶合成的，它通过非共价相互作用，在ER、前结构域和成熟链共同分泌过程中进行自催化的分子内加工。PCSK9与低密度脂蛋白受体(LDLR)结合，并在胆固醇稳态中发挥重要的调节作用。通过阻止PCSK9/LDLR相互作用来抑制PCSK9功能，目前正在探索作为一种降低胆固醇水平的方法。PCSK9也与载脂蛋白受体2 (ApoER2)结合，并在神经发育中发挥作用。
