重组人LIF蛋白（Recombinant Human LIF Protein）通过抑制胚胎干细胞的自发分化，促进胚胎干细胞的长期维持。LIF是由多种细胞类型(包括T细胞、髓细胞系、成纤维细胞、肝脏、心脏和黑色素瘤)产生的一种多营养因子。人 LIF 在小鼠细胞上具有活性，被广泛应用于维持小鼠 ESC 的自发分化，而小鼠 LIF 由于不能与人 LIF 受体结合而不能在人细胞上发挥作用。
重组人LIF包含186个氨基酸，预测分子量为20.5kd。
基于刺激人TF-1细胞增殖的能力，预期ED50是≤0.1 ng/ml，对应活性为≥1×107 IU/mg。
