生物活性：h-VEGF浓度为2.5 ng/ml时，HUVEC细胞增殖实验测定ED50 < 0.2 μg/ml，对应的比活性为> 5.0 × 103 IU/mg。其他表达IP-10的细胞类型包括激活的t淋巴细胞、脾细胞、角质细胞、成骨细胞、星形胶质细胞和平滑肌细胞。IP-10也在银屑病和麻风病皮损中表达。人类IP-10的小鼠同源物Crg-2已被克隆，并显示与人类IP-10有大约67%的氨基酸序列相同。
