重组人CXCL1蛋白是黑色素瘤细胞的生长因子，是中性粒细胞的趋化因子，是CXC趋化因子家族的成员。重组人CXCL1蛋白也是有效的中性粒细胞引诱剂和活化剂，对嗜碱性粒细胞也有活性。CXCL1由巨噬细胞，嗜中性粒细胞和上皮细胞表达。CXCL1通过CXCR2介导的嗜中性粒细胞募集到感染部位，在实验性莱姆关节炎和心肌炎的发展中起着至关重要的非冗余作用，并且可能通过其对感觉神经元的直接作用而具有重要的伤害感受作用，并可能长期诱导涉及蛋白质合成的变化。
DNA序列编码人CXCL1（UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot: P09341-1）表达带有His 标签在C 末端。
重组人CXCL1蛋白包含86个氨基酸，预测理论分子量为9.5kd。
