生物活性:Beta1,4-半乳糖转移酶i (B4GALT1), 7个Beta1,4-半乳糖转移酶之一,是一种常见的酶,在反式高尔基复合体中发现,将半乳糖添加到低聚糖。根据序列相似性,beta 4GalTs分为四组:beta 4GalT1和beta 4GalT2、beta 4GalT3和beta 4GalT4、beta 4GalT5和beta 4GalT6、beta 4GalT7。β 4GalT1在七种酶中是独特的,因为它既可以以膜相关形式表达,也可以以分泌形式表达。分泌型仅限于泌乳乳腺组织,该酶与-乳清蛋白形成异二聚体催化乳糖的合成。高尔基复合体在哺乳的乳腺中催化乳糖的产生,也可能负责合成许多糖蛋白中的复合型n -链接低聚糖以及糖脂的碳水化合物部分。在各种细胞与细胞和细胞与基质的相互作用中,如在发育和卵子受精过程中,细胞表面形态作为一种识别分子,通过与对立细胞或细胞外基质上的特定寡糖配体结合。β 4GalT1缺陷是先天性糖基化型2D (CDG2D)的原因。
