生物活性:小鼠Sonic Hedgehog Homolog (SHH)属于刺猬(Hedgehog)三蛋白家族。其他两个家族成员是印度刺猬(IHH)和沙漠刺猬(DHH)。刺猬蛋白是胚胎发育的关键信号分子。SHH在多种胚胎组织中表达,在调节肢体和大脑等许多系统的模式方面发挥着关键作用。SHH在成人中也起着重要作用,包括成人干细胞的分裂以及某些癌症和其他疾病的发生。小鼠Shh合成为437aa前体,包含一个24aa信号序列和一个413aa成熟区。成熟区域被自催化加工成一个非糖基化,20kda, 174 aa n端片段(sh - n)和一个催化加工,34 kDa, 239 aa c端片段。20 kDa的Shh-N片段是活性hedgehog分子的核心。小鼠Shh-N与人Shh-N、大鼠Shh-N和沙鼠Shh-N的同源性分别为99%、98%和100%。
