生物活性 : 在体内，PDGF-BB主要产生于心脏和胎盘，主要由成骨细胞、成纤维细胞、平滑肌细胞和胶质细胞表达。PDGF-BB的非活性前体在内质网中产生，然后分泌后被蛋白原转化酶激活。PDGF-BB以旁分泌的方式发挥作用，促进器官发生、人体骨骼发育和伤口愈合。PDGF-BB也促进血管生成，特别是在碱性成纤维细胞生长因子存在的情况下。因此，PDGF-BB及其相关通路是潜在的药理靶点。
