生物活性：TF-1细胞剂量依赖性增殖测定小鼠心肌营养因子-1 EC50值≤1.25 ng/ml，比活性≥0.8 × 106单位/mg。CT-1与高血压、心肌梗死、心脏瓣膜病和充血性心力衰竭等多种心脏病的病理生理相关。该蛋白通过与糖蛋白130 (gp130)/白血病抑制因子受体β (LIFR)异二聚体相互作用发挥其细胞效应。CT-1激活心肌细胞磷脂酰肌醇3激酶(PI-3激酶)并增强转录因子NF-κB DNA结合活性。CT-1在心脏、骨骼肌、前列腺和卵巢高表达，在肺、肾、胰腺、胸腺、睾丸和小肠低表达。
