生物活性：TGFBR2是一个单通型I型膜蛋白，包含一个蛋白激酶结构域。TGFBR2与另一受体蛋白以异源二聚体复合物的形式存在，并与tgf - β结合。通过tgf - β受体复合物触发的信号引发细胞的各种反应。其中一种反应是抑制细胞生长和分裂。基于这一作用，tgf - β受体2型有时被称为肿瘤抑制因子。TGFBR2的缺陷与马凡综合征、loys - deitz主动脉瘤综合征、Osler-Weber-Rendu综合征和各种类型肿瘤的发展有关。
