重组小鼠VEGF165蛋白是一种强有力的生长和血管生成细胞因子，它促进内皮细胞的增殖和存活，促进血管生成和血管通透性。VEGF在诱导肿瘤转移和眼内新生血管综合征中有重要作用。VEGF通过FMS-like酪氨酸激酶(Flt-1)、KDR基因产物(小鼠同源性为FLK-1基因产物)和FLT 4基因产物表达。
以剂量依赖性刺激人脐静脉内皮细胞(HUVEC)增殖，其浓度范围为1.0~5.0 ng/ml。
