IL-2 是一种强大的免疫调节淋巴因子,由 T 细胞响应抗原性或促有丝分裂刺激而产生。IL-2/IL-2R 信号是 T 细胞增殖和其他免疫反应必不可少的基本功能所必需的。IL2 受体由三个亚基组成(55 kDa IL2Rα、75 kDa IL2Rβ、64 kDa 共同伽马链 γc/IL2Rγ),它们以不同的预制复合物形式存在于细胞表面;成熟小鼠 IL2 与人和大鼠 IL2 分别具有 56% 和 73% 的氨基酸序列同一性。小鼠和人 IL2 表现出跨物种活性。小鼠 IL2 有一个特定的 N 端区域,其中包含一个聚谷氨酰胺(包含 12 个谷氨酰胺)片段。
通过使用鼠 CTLL-2 细胞的细胞增殖测定法测定的 ED50小于 0.2 ng/ml,对应于 > 5.0 × 106 IU/mg的比活性。
