重组人TPO是一种在肝脏、肾脏和骨骼肌中产生的谱系特异性生长因子。它刺激巨核细胞增殖和成熟，促进体内血小板循环水平。TPO信号通过c-mpl受体来实现，是循环血小板的重要调节因子。
通过剂量依赖性刺激人 MO7e 细胞的增殖能力测得的ED50值为≤2.0 ng/ml，对应的比活性为≥5×105IU/mg。
